What is everyone’s protocol or personal prescription to help prevent long term sequelae of COVID, whether you’ve had it or not, vaccinated or not.
Here is what I do and it started with during infection:
1) clear virus (pax x10 vs Truvada) (metformin 1000AM/500pm)
2) Clear bacteriophage activity (Augmentin vs Amox/Xifaxan)
3) stop coag probs (check d dimer, CRP, etc) ASA a must plus/minus natto (I lean towards things that bust up fibrin) if d-dimer >2 I am using lovenox
4) mito support acutely Q10/ALA/Carnitine (I use 1MNA after.
Now after infection
1) probiotics (5 strain bifidus)
2) continue metformin, senolytic, etc (I know some use amlexanox here, I haven’t yet)
3) assess damage to hallmarks of aging and treat
You must stop mito senescence, immunosenescence, endothelial inflammaging, iron dysfunction, Endo problems, fibrin triggers, neuro inflammatory triggers, stem cell senescence, thymus destruction, kidney disease and a host of other problems once it sets in. So I am a big fan of Truvada even post symptoms to eradicate reservoirs, with the HIV DATA you have a limited window of 12-18 months to do this. Prevention is essential. Lastly, I do use rapamycin in my cases and consider Dasatinib too with Quercetin for senolytic effects. But you have to tailor much to the patient’s protoplasm to begin with.
Agree! RR’s protocol and info has been amazing for active infection. And have been utilizing. It’s the long term and the exposures/infections that are mild that one may not even realize they had. The daily must do’s and prevention. I know gut health-crucial, hormonal optimization, metformin/GLPs, etc.
Thanks S.! I deal a little differently. Agree with doxy and i use LL37 as an aggressive natural antiviral. But ll37 binds the NETs (neutrophils extracellular traps) that binding to fibrin and rbcs and create clots. I also use pentosan since great antiviral but also prevents clots, stabilizes vascular endothelial, improves microcirculation, inhibits histamine...I also start bpc/ kpv to normalize healing, reduce platelet stickiness, dilate blood vessels, prevents plaque. I start ta1 and tb4 daily for a few weeks. But the big issue with covid and other viruses like ebv is they hijack mitochondria! They do this by increasing nnmt so I think have to block nnmt! 4 caps 1mna daily. Probably there is more of an oxidative storm than cytokine storm!! So ketone esters help support atp and short course of motsc or ss31.
That’s the best part. We all bring different strokes. The problem with covid is it attacks everything. But not everything in everyone at once. So we need to pool our knowledge here IMHO. That’s what I’m so excited about the next mastermind and onward. I truly believe our group of docs has more knowledge about how to defeat this scourge than all the ivory towers put together (I came from one) I’m certain we have the tools!
Agree!!! Love the depth of knowledge and discussion!!! Best group ever 💖💖💖
Protocols for APOE4 positive patients?
Avoid head impact sports
Eat caviar
Nose breathing
DHA, not EPA
Sauna
Glutathione
Acetylcholine
Dr Goodenowe has been studying apoe4 using plasmalogens erythrocyte ba group at Rush for over 15 years and if keep plasmalogen levels high, nine are progressing to cognitive decline! Also check galactic 3 levels. Often high in apoe4 people. If high use pectasol to lower
The point is to emphasize DHA intake over EPA, especially before disease onset. ApoE4 alters delivery of DHA to brain by increasing phospholipases; hence the need for higher concentrations than one would usually expect.
How do you give acetyl choline? Which supplement do you use? For glutathione - do you use oral form? If yes, which one? Liposomal?
Is oral glutathione worth giving or is there very limited GI absorption to increase intracellular levels? I usually give NAC as precursor to increase glutathione levels, but also as I don’t do IVs in the clinic ourselves
I heard differing opinions on liposomal and absorption. We do iv in the clinic but I was curious about Dr JS protocol for APOE4 and what type of glutathione
Boost/support acetylcholine levels:
• eat choline rich foods
• Phosphatidylcholine by body bio
• prodrome glia-pc or neuro-pc
• alpha gpc
• anything that increases bdnf
• avoid anti-cholinergic pharmaceuticals

Urinary Metal Levels and Coronary Artery Calcification: Longitudinal Evidence in the Multi-Ethnic Study of Atherosclerosis
JACC - Recommended by Dr. Steve Murphy
Exposure to metals was generally associated with extent of coronary calcification at baseline and follow-up. These findings support that metals are associated with the progression of atherosclerosis, potentially providing a novel strategy for the prevention and treatment of atherosclerosis progression.
The global pattern of centenarians highlights deep problems in demography
Medrxiv - Recommended by Dr. Hillary Lin
These patterns suggest a persistent inability, even for nation-states or global organisations, to 30 detect or measure error rates in human age data, with troubling implications for epidemiology, demography, and medicine.
Effect of psilocybin versus escitalopram on depression symptom severity
eClinicalMedicine (Lancet) - Recommended by Dr. Carlos Gutierez
The study concluded that both psilocybin and escitalopram, when combined with psychological support, led to long-term improvements in depressive symptom severity for patients with major depressive disorder. However, the psilocybin treatment group showed greater improvements in psychosocial functioning, meaning in life, and psychological connectedness at follow-up, suggesting the need for further research.
