Issue 62: The front page of longevity medicine - curated by doctors, for doctors.
Hey Doc,
What excites me most when I write the newsletter every Sunday is discovering how the industry is evolving. Every week I observe trends, investments, and innovations popping up or disappearing. The innovation cycle is running at full speed, fueled by consumer demand, media and influencer awareness, and investor excitement.
Much like AI, a lot of these innovations can feel like a “wrapper” around medicine, wellness, or hospitality. But we live in an incredible time where, for once, it seems that people genuinely care about their health and their lives. They want to live better. I am optimistic and hopeful that the longevity trend will grow into a culture, a lifestyle.
Of course, it won’t be for everyone, and that’s okay. Like everything, it can polarize. People need battles to define themselves. But for doctors, it always comes down to one question: how did you impact the life of your patient?
That is the kind of doctor I want my son to be able to see when he needs it: smart, proactive, kind, humble, data-driven, evidence-based, and focused above all on patient outcomes. That is the kind of doctor I want to be.
Have an amazing Sunday evening

The Club: Smart Investments for Physicians
This Friday, our Private Club dives into a question every physician-builder faces: how to invest wisely and strategically in longevity medicine.
Where to get capital:
Bootstrap → Grow lean from consulting, sub-renting space, savings, or speaking.
Venture Capital → High growth, but expect oversight and equity dilution.
Loans & Debt → Keep ownership, but requires repayment discipline.
Friends & Family → Quick and accessible, but set clear agreements.
Angel Investors → Personal believers who back your vision.
Strategic Partnerships → Labs, tech, or wellness brands who benefit from your success.
Where to Invest
People → Front desk for patient experience, NPs for scale, HR for culture.
Education & Conferences → Stay ahead of science, build authority.
Networking → Speaking, local events, trusted communities.
Technology & AI → Tools that save time and personalize care.
Marketing, PR, Social Media → Visibility builds trust and attracts patients.
Every choice you make signals what you value and the future you’re building. Don’t chase shiny objects, build robust foundations. Testing, devices, and equipment are commodities with low barriers to entry. Trust, ethics, and expertise are the true assets worth investing in.

Longevity Docs Table Insights
Last Thursday in New York City, we hosted the very first Longevity Docs Table with Dr. Frank Lipman. This roundtable dinner was the proof Longevity Docs exists.

Key Insights
Doctors told us they feel isolated. Even in a city like NYC, they had never met or interacted before. The Table created the platform they had been missing.
They shared how much they value stories and evidence. Physicians want to learn from the real experiences of the pioneers (what worked, what didn’t) and combine that wisdom with science-backed interventions they can trust and safely deliver to patients.
They spoke about patient trust. In an era dominated by AI tools and social media influencers, what matters most is protecting the doctor–patient relationship and delivering experiences rooted in safety, empathy, and credibility.
They admitted they are ready for independence. Many have left higher-paying roles in ERs, ICUs, or surgical suites to invest in themselves, even at a pay cut, because they believe longevity medicine is the future.
And they agreed that traditional conferences feel outdated. Mass events are the “fast food” of networking (shallow and transactional) while what doctors crave are “Michelin star” relationships, intimate and nourishing for their practices.
Finally, they made it clear: the movement cannot be stopped. Just as prevention, integrative medicine, and yoga once faced skeptics, longevity medicine is now driven by consumer demand. The wave is here and it’s only growing.
This is the Longevity Docs model: creating a trusted community where doctors connect deeply, learn openly, and lead the unstoppable shift toward evidence-based longevity medicine.
We’re just getting started. Join us at upcoming Longevity Docs Tables in Palm Beach, Miami, Los Angeles, San Francisco, and Las Vegas.
Every week, the Longevity Docs WhatsApp group feels like a front-row seat to the future of medicine. Here’s what had doctors buzzing:
GLP-1 Microdosing & Face Volume
The question: does low-dose GLP-1 still hollow out faces? Consensus: much less volume loss than full dosing especially when combined with resistance training and protein. Clinicians are testing “slow and low” regimens to keep the aesthetic benefits without the gaunt look.
Parkinson’s & BFR Training
How do you help a formerly fit PD patient rebuild muscle? Smart Cuffs 4.0, Yolked supplements, and twice-weekly sessions were shared as go-to protocols. BFR is gaining traction as a practical tool in fragile patients.
Genomics Shake-Up
Nebula/Prophase shut down suddenly. Dr. M. flagged “New Amsterdam” as a solid alternative. The debate: WGS vs WES. The reminder: longevity care relies on stable access to sequencing platforms.

Each week, I highlight a few studies that caught our eyes and could shape the future of longevity medicine.
New Epigenetic Biomarkers for CVD
609 methylation markers linked to cardiovascular risk, stroke, and mortality. Favorable profiles showed up to 45% lower all-cause mortality (Circulation).
👉 Why it matters: Blood-based prevention is moving mainstream.
Skin Aging Evaluation: Still No Gold Standard
Systematic review of 47 scales found photonumeric tools are common but subjective; quantitative tools are more reliable but underused.
👉 Why it matters: Physicians will need validated instruments as skin longevity becomes central to preventive care.
CT Angiography as a Behavioral Catalyst
Showing patients their coronary plaques via CT made them more likely to adopt lifestyle changes (17% vs 6%) and accept preventive therapy (77% vs 46%) (JAMA Cardiol, 2025).
👉 Why it matters: Imaging isn’t just diagnostic, it drives adherence.
I comb through the mainstream headlines, handpick the most relevant longevity stories.

Melinda French Gates launches $100 million push for women's health research
Philanthropist Melinda French Gates will invest $50 million in a women's health fund that aims to close a vast gender gap in medical research. French Gates, whose Pivotal group joins the non-profit Wellcome Leap in the partnership worth $100 million overall, pointed to data showing only 1% of pharmaceutical research funding went to women's health outside cancer in 2024.
