Longevity Medicine in Davos • Longevity Docs App Launch • Longevity & AI
Your sneak peek into the world of Longevity Docs.
Hey Docs,
I just returned from Davos, where the World Economic Forum gathered leaders from around the globe. At CNBC's Centaurs AI Summit, I had the opportunity to discuss the importance of longevity medicine and the transformative role of AI in our society. As physicians, these are our daily discussions, yet there's a vast audience that still needs to understand the profound impact of longevity medicine.
On a practical note, our Longevity Docs App is now live, with 200 top physicians already on board. This platform is designed to connect longevity doctors globally, provide access to evidence-based education, and accelerate collaborative research. Imagine a new social platform for longevity doctors.
Looking ahead, AI is poised to revolutionize our field faster than we might anticipate. Innovations such as AI models capable of reprogramming cells and "operators" that assist in multitasking for doctors are on the horizon. The landscape is evolving rapidly, and physicians who don't adapt may find themselves left behind.
The Longevity Medicine revolution has started
Happy Sunday!
David

AI and Longevity: What It Means for Physicians
OpenAI has partnered with Retro Biosciences, a biotech startup aiming to extend healthy human lifespan by 10 years, to develop GPT-4b micro, an AI model designed for biological research. Unlike traditional models like Google’s AlphaFold, GPT-4b micro focuses on re-engineering proteins, such as Yamanaka factors, which can turn human skin cells into youthful stem cells. This could pave the way for regenerative medicine, organ repair, and age-related therapies.
For clinical practice today, nothing changes - but tomorrow, everything might. With AI analyzing labs, validating interventions, and optimizing drugs and supplements, the physician’s role will evolve. Instead of spending time on manual diagnostics, doctors may focus on interpreting insights, personalizing care, and building patient trust.
Soon "Longevity Agents" will manage diagnostics and treatment plans for doctors but human oversight will remain critical to validate AI outputs and integrate them into holistic care. Physicians will lead by combining technology with empathy, ensuring longevity solutions improve not just lifespan but quality of life.
The future of longevity care is coming fast. Are physicians ready to lead it?

Davos - CNBC’s Centaur’s AI Summit

At this year’s World Economic Forum in Davos, I had the privilege of curating and moderating a longevity-focused panel “Longevity at the Age of AI” hosted by CNBC’s Centaur AI Summit. The panel featured visionary unicorns founders like Giorgos Tsetis (Nutrafol), Saeju Jeong (Noom), and Michele Longmire (Medable), exploring the transformative impact of AI on health, wellness, and longevity.
A highlight of the event was a fireside chat with Naveen Jain (Viome), moderated by Olivier Oullier. Together, we discussed how AI-powered platforms are reshaping clinical practice, empowering physicians to deliver hyper-personalized, preventative care.
Longevity medicine is now a topic of global discussion, highlighting the need for more research, evidence, and data to make it a reality. The summit emphasized that while AI provides valuable insights, it's the expertise of physicians that ensures these advancements are applied effectively and ethically.
Davos - Longevity Investors Lunch

At the recent Longevity Investors Lunch in Davos, I had the opportunity to discuss how decentralized science (DeSci) can accelerate breakthroughs in longevity. I was joined by Brian K. Magierski and Dr. Emil Kendziorra, with the event hosted by Dr. Tobias Reichmuth and Marc P. Bernegger, and featuring a keynote from Deepak Chopra.

Every Doctor Should be a Longevity Doctor
As a heart surgeon, I was often the doctor you hoped never to need . If you were in my operating room it means prevention was no longer an option. My father, a physician specializing in Chinese medicine and acupuncture, taught me about preventive care very early on. At 21, in 2001, I launched a foundation focused on operating on children in Africa, India, Cambodia, and Haiti so they could live longer, healthier lives.
In 2020, everything changed. When my wife contracted COVID-19, I realized the future of medicine lies in prevention. This led me to found a digital clinic dedicated to combating preventable age-related diseases, immersing myself in longevity research and new tech.
However connecting with like-minded doctors was the hardest part. I started a WhatsApp group with a dozen doctors passionate about longevity. We shared publications, new tech tools, and discussed case studies. It quickly grew into something bigger, and I realized we lacked a structured platform to learn, exchange insights, and shape the future of evidence-based longevity medicine.
From this need, Longevity Docs was born. Today, we unite 300 physicians across 50 countries with a shared goal: to democratize longevity medicine. Imagine a world where physicians have access to evidence-based practices, collaborate with experts, and conduct research together - in real-time, anywhere in the world.
I firmly believe that a decentralized, collective intelligence of physicians is the key to extending human healthspan. Together, we can create a legacy where medicine helps people live better.
