what off label treatments are being used to treat fibromyalgia?
It feels like almost all treatments are off label for it. Red light, mito support like carnitine, COQ10, ss-31. Low dose naltrexone works really well. Creatine, BPC 157. Methylene blue can also have a multitude benefits. Plus treat the symptoms.
Plus there is a prodrome and 1-mna
Of these, which have the best outcomes? Do you sequence these? Or do you give all at once?
Depends on what worse symptoms are: To me LDN, MB, red light mito support and the appropriate peptides/bioregulators. That is what I start with.
So if pain is predominant Vs fatigue predominant?
For pain LDN, mb, tb4 and low dose BPC, PEA, SPM’s consider iv peptides and need to add mito support
Growth Hormone +/or Iparmorelen + CJC1295 can help. How successful is 1MNA?
What is the clinical reasoning for GH? Is this for patients with low IGF-1? Or any fibromyalgia patient? https://pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/articles/PMC2212629/
Functional defects in growth hormone (GH) secretion and its efficacy as a complementary treatment have been suggested for fibromyalgia. This study inv… https://search.app/17yVb41xLfkWcXo5A
I assume you can get similar results with growth hormone stimulating peptides like semorlin?
Sermorelin is pretty weak got popular when Cjc went away
Pramipexole: I’ve had some successes with this. I prefer the term central sensitivity syndrome to fibromyalgia. Such a mixed bag of symptom constellations and hence probably pathology. Prof Kim law sons work may be interesting if you haven’t already come across it.
Secondary gain is a real issue in the UK -I can’t comment on other countries
Having learnt a lot on here and in general I would now add in mito assessment and support.
Are Blue Zones still effective in modern times?
Cultural shifts and the rise of fast food are eroding traditional longevity practices in places like Okinawa, Nicoya, and Sardinia. Seventh-Day Adventists in California offer a unique model worth exploring.
"Too late to move and get a blue zone effect in Okinawa. The younger generation is riddled with the culture of KFC and other fast food we have injected."
What’s new in Rapamycin and mTOR Inhibitor research?
A project analyzing 601 mTOR inhibitors' effects on lifespan generated excitement, with opportunities for community contributions to fund studies.
"This project by Rapamycin Longevity Lab analyzing 601 mTOR inhibitors is quite exciting. Lots of interesting compounds on that list."
How an mitochondrial testing enhance ealth Optimization?
Mitoswab is being explored for pre/post-metformin assessments and broader applications in mitochondrial health.
"Conceptually, Mitoswab could be used pre and post-metformin. Anyone done that or thoughts?"
Can Plasmapheresis Reverse Cardiovascular Risks?
Plasmapheresis is showing promise in reversing plaque for refractory Lp(a) cases, with successful protocols implemented using standard machines.
"We have a few patients undergoing this protocol here in NYC, and it’s reversing plaque in refractory Lp(a) cases."

Myocardial infarction augments sleep to limit cardiac inflammation and damage
This study uncovers the role of myocardial infarction (heart attack) in regulating sleep patterns to reduce cardiac inflammation and damage by limiting cardiac sympathetic input.
