Discover Longevity PROTOCOLS ⎮ Meet Dr. Jessica Shepherd ⎮ Aging Clocks
Your sneak peek into the world of Longevity Docs.
Hey Doc,
In May, Dr. Hillary Lin and Dr. Ankit Chawla led a meeting to present the vision for a comprehensive knowledge base of longevity-focused protocols, designed to be shared within our community of Longevity Docs. Last week, we launched our PROTOCOLS MVP.
I am thrilled to welcome back our exceptional Mastermind host, Dr. Jessica Shepherd. Stay tuned as we will begin announcing our lineup of speakers soon!

Discussion on Age Clocks
See extended discussion threads about Age tests being all over the place (cf:
Karl Pflegerb: “Direct-to-consumer aging clocks give very inconsistent answers. I tried TruDiagnostic, Elysium, GlycanAge, & reg blood draw for PhenoAge on same day”)
I responded to this on his Twitter. This is not a fair comment.
Of course different tests have different results they are based on different algorithms. These should be used for trending at best.
Trudiagnostics offers the pace which has great data the omic data is helpful now with Dr. Levine’s organ age very helpful and good data behind it
TestX is used for disease prediction they have good data for that.
To me the biological age is almost the least important part of most of these reports. People need to understand the formulas are different so results may be different . Need to be used in context.
I totally agree with you, understanding the tests and interpretations are keys. But some of these biological ages make no sense… see what Siim Land posted on Instagram … what that it mean to have a liver age of 9, a musculoskeletal ate of 12, a brain age of 13 when you are 29?? Make no sense for me! That’s bringing noise in the field and confusion…
None of these are perfect. I admit seeing more noise on TextX then others and they seem to always tell me they are working on algorithm. I use the markers as part of big picture. There is definitely a lot of work to do. Also some good benefits
We have TestX data since introduced to our patients in 2020). Testing annually, many biannually with multiple other biomarkers longitudinally. Tried TestX at first (#100 x twice) but the saliva data was unclear and inconsistent. Interesting findings during COVID with 50+ aging and <50 younger after COVID. Likely immune function is affected and maybe more resilient at a younger biological age.
